Sistra - Gentle Dead People

Gentle Dead People was written while we were still living in Khabarovsk, RU and it was one completely different track. We've made a demo with some arrangements and lyrics, but didn't get too excited with the result.

The song was changed completely when the band moved to Moscow. One day at a rehearsal Roma brought a new bass idea we've built a new version of GDP around.

We wrote new English lyrics, kept the composition, beats and some rhythms. Guitar part was rewritten eventually to.
So, here it is, enjoy!

GDP был написан как другой трек еще в Хабаровске. мы тогда написали заготовку с аранжировкой. Нас не очень устраивал текст.
В последствии и музыка.

И только в Москве, как-то на репетиции, мы вспомнили о ней.
Рома предложил совсем новую басовую линию. Вокруг нее сегодня и вертится весь трек.

Мы оставили строение. Некоторые размеры. Бит. Написали новый англоязычный текст. Потом появилась новая партия гитары.
Песня видоизменилась до неузнаваемости.
Так она стала GDP.

The rhythm divine and energy you feel listening to them makes you go insane. Sistra (сИстра) – is a Russian band with European sound. Their music breathes cold and restraint, but at the same time a tenderness and softness. And it is not surprising, because these musicians are from Far East of Russia - a region, where large rivers flow through impassable taiga forest. It's almost like Scandinavia or Iceland, so the music of Sistra has harmony of northern territories. Where bright sun shines in minus thirty degrees giving everyone a warm weather instead. Where snow is in flakes and the wind bracing thoughts and feelings.
It's very difficult to put a band in some particular musical genre. When ears gets floating somewhere in the north tunes of Sistra, you're not thinking about any genre. They are often referred to indietronic style. But there is a minimalism of post-punk, post-rock and Scandinavian balearic, also some elements of trip-hop. Sistra had a long way to it's current sound. At this point the band is based in Moscow and released their debut album “Telegram Cloud”.
