Montreal, May 28, 2021 | Véronique Bilodeau marks her return with the single "Détours", a song that marks an artistic turning point in her young career.

Telling the story of a summer love, a road trip where everything becomes possible. With its powerful percussion and atmospheric harmonies, "Détours" makes us want to "dance in front of the lights of the bus" freely, without fear.

We feel above all that the singer-songwriter from the Bas-du-Fleuve region is more than ever artistic. She frees herself from the standards of pop songs in order to dive into a refreshing music, tied to flamboyant and ethereal images. With "Détours", we hear the influences of the pop-rock movement of the 1990's.

Véronique Bilodeau creates luminous songs where intimacy is freely told. She offers us a grandiose and flamboyant universe where each landscape finds its magic, where each confidence is shared in all sincerity. Always on the road between Montreal and the Bas-du-Fleuve, Véronique transports us into these moments of freedom and introspection, where stories and kilometers go by on the meter.

After having been heard on the airwaves of Rouge FM, as an opening act for numerous artists (Patrice Michaud, Les Soeurs Boulay, 2Frères) as well as on the stages of competitions, Véronique is back with a brand new musical era, one that is fully assumed.
