Self-taught, English singer/songwriter emmaxthomas was born in Watford, although currently based in London. Her style of music tends to delve into lyric focused indie folk/pop, alternative, singer/songwriter, bedroom/pop, & alternative/indie. Inspired musically by her dad and many, talented, well-known artists, Emma spends a lot of her time listening to a wide range of genres and uses her own, personal experiences as the driving force behind her own music.
Composing from a young age, Emma has earned somewhat of a following over the years, reaching thousands of viewers for her original tracks and covers on YouTube and YouNow. A live performer, Emma developed strong connections with the music scene in and out of Hertfordshire, featuring on local radio, performing in local festivals, and in various other venues across the UK. Radio Dacorum wrote 'Innocent. Understated. Gorgeous. Kind and clever. Emma Thomas is unaware she has all these qualities and that's before I've even got to her voice, her lyrics, her dynamic studio presence (in that aforementioned understated way), and the people she surrounds herself with.’
Currently, Emma is working on recording and writing new songs. A producer, who mixed the song ‘Mirrored’ by emmaxthomas, is helping her with the post-production side of her music. She has also started making her own music videos to accompany her songs as this is something she found a love for during her time at university.
