The story behind the song:
(Tribute to a dreamy night where two human beings first started falling in love with each other)

A sense of each existence without a spoken word.
A tickle attempts a further bonding.
A reflection on an enlarged pupil.

That moment you decide to open your heart fully, to love, to give, to hurt and to be hurt.

If it breaks, let it.
Your heart grows bigger, kinder, with tiny scars.
And scars are the art.

I recorded this song at the beginning of 2018, in a friend's boutique studio in Hong Kong called Group Studio. His studio is in an industrial building located far away from downtown. My bandmates "Grownups" and I would go to his studio and do the recording, whenever we were available after we finished our day job. "Dopamine" was a tricky song, we spent around 4 months recording and turning it over and over again, a lot of back and forth emailing and finalizing when I was away from Hong Kong for work. It was not a smooth ride, but we were always able to find solutions and be patient about it.

This song was released on 21 July 2019, during the darkest period in Hong Kong. Freedom is not free, I wish nothing but the best outcome for Hong Kong people.
