"Hummingbirds & Bees" was recorded in my home studio in Victoria Harbour, Ontario. I played all the instruments on the song myself, as well as singing the vocal parts. I mixed and produced the song myself as well. Writing the lead parts, and harmonies, etc. comes down to improvising and writing as I go, the only things that were set in stone going into recording the song were the main vocal and guitar parts. The song was written for, and inspired by my wife while she was attending university 14 hours from our home for about 4 months. The song makes reference to parts of our relationship, and talks about seeing things through, even when faced with some difficulty.
