"I wrote this song when I started to notice that there's an increasing distance between me and my friends. I just started thinking about "life itself" and how things changed. I usually just write down what I feel when writing a song text. Then I try to write my texts in a way that anyone can interpret his/her own meaning." - Simon Schlager aka The Patch.

I'm Simon Schlager. I'm 20 years old and I live in Austria. The Patch is a Singer-Songwriter project which I started in 2017. I am always writing my own songs. Often people say that there are too few instruments or the songs are too raw. To me this is weird. I am writing my songs like this because we are living in a world full of stress, full of work and full of restlessness. This is why my songs sound like they sound. Music is something that calms me down when playing. And I want that same thing to happen when people listen to my music. And my songs don't need to sound perfect in order to sound real.
