'Push Pull Painter' is a bitter-sweet love story dealing with deception and a loss of connection between two people. It's that feeling of transience, holding on to someone who hasn't let go, but intends to.

It was a joy to create. A big influence for me in the vocal/lyrical style was Regina Spektor.
It started with the piano and vocals, but as time passed, more ideas kept coming for other layers: strings, ukulele, glockenspiel, percussion, bowed guitars, theramin, (...)
Recording and editing the parts were fun but challenging with the timing, as I felt the track needed to follow the push-pull, grid-less nature of the piano.
