Joe Pahlow is an American singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist born in New York City. He grew up in Metuchen, NJ, and started playing drums at the age of 6. He picked up piano at the age of 16 to help broaden his musical ability. At 19, he purchased his first high end-acoustic and electric guitars and became serious about becoming a solo artist.

While attending the University of Delaware Joe played drums for the jazz band, furthering his desire to create his own music. He began writing bits of original material and started playing local venues with friends. Additionally, he started commuting bi-weekly to NYC to take vocal lessons with his aunt, a professional vocal coach. Outside of these lessons, he is a self-declared autodidact in all instruments.

He has just finished his acoustic EP, which he wrote and self-produced. Planning on releasing it this May, Joe aims to make 2020 the year he realizes his lifelong dreams.

This song is about the overwhelming sensation that comes with truly "stepping into your skin". The euphoric realization that having a clear perspective on how to achieve your dreams is not only feasible but the best way to overcome bad behaviors. The feeling can be so profoundly cathartic, it causes "vertigo" (figuratively).

This song also serves as a metaphor for cyclical behaviors and how patterns repeat continuously, forcing you to break the entire circle to rebuild from the start.
